Just want to comment on Daniel's beautiful place he is wanting to grow into a community... I had the privilege of meeting him and seeing his permaculture/hydroponic farm last weekend and it is AMAZING!! Really. He and his wife have obviously been working very hard to create a sustainable, well-cared for, and beautiful place to live. I highly recommend you contact him if you are serious about living in a small community setting! Thank you, Daniel, and I hope your wife is well again soon!

Thank you, Daniel! I am meeting with Forest Fawn toward the end of the month. We will put our heads together. I know she has visited you. Perhaps we will give you a call while she is here and see what our hearts and minds can come up with. Super excited.

Daniel, I love the idea of Aquaponics! I've been doing research on the best thing to grow in such a system so the water filtration system is a continual flow for the health of the fish. Looks like Watercress tops the list for so many reasons and so it just needs more marketing to create more consumer demand. I am currently living in Seattle and I'm less-carbon-footprint non-automobile owner, but one day would like to come down to visit your farm and talk about the opportunity you offer. http://foodrepublic.com/2014/…

Daniel,
thank you for your post! I'm very interested in learning more about your permaculture farm. How can I learn more about your community?

I've been in the same industry for 17 years and feel its the perfect time to finally start doing what is not only the highest good for me but for the highest good of all! It has become clear that this is a time of change for the good!

Daniel I live in Bellingham WA and would love to visit with you if for nothing else than to be inspired by what you all have created. I have been gardening my whole life and for the last few months (before joining Ubuntu) have been putting out my intentions of finding some property where I could create self sustainability by creating a complimentary ecosystem within nature. I look forward to hearing from you. :)

Hi Daniel, Crystalline, and others in this area! I'm in Montana and not really that far away either! I'd really be interested in learning more! Have you seen the Youtube video on how plants can communicate and even run themselves? It's called The Secret Life of Plants! Amazing!

Hey Daniel! I saw that notice about the camp out and put a message on the thread about taking a train to Portland seeing if I could get a ride with someone who is going. I really hope to be able to come.

Daniel, I'm afraid I have not yet heard from anybody in Portland who will be coming to your camping weekend at the farm, and because I'd be taking the train into Portland, a 38 mile taxi to Ariel would be cost prohibitive, at this time, for my wallet. I really want to come down, but right now my living situation is costing me almost as much as my income and it makes it hard to have discretionary income. I'm not a flake. I've been following Ubuntu for a couple years now. I hope things can work out that I can come down for a day sometime soon to check out the opportunity you are offering.

Joseph, you could get off in Vancouver and I could pick you up there. I never thought you were a flake.

Daniel, I didn't get this message till today sorry, but yes, for sure I would really like to come down and check out your farm and offer. I'll have some free time again the 1st week of July for sure and I'll let you know if have time earlier than that. How far is Vancouver from you?
Saturday 11 June 2016, 02:04:16
Daniel S
No worries. Vancouver is about 10 minutes closer than Portland which is an hour from us. Sorry you missed this weekend. It would have been a good opportunity for you to meet others interested in this way of life. Just let me know when you plan on coming so we can arrange a ride for you. You should give me a call sometime.

Wondering if anybody has heard about the Ubuntu fund raising for the potential purchase of a 1000 acres in Vermont, USA that includes a ski resort?
