Janet C A few years back I was in Nepal and the flight home got postponed by 24 hours. The airline had to put us up for the night. We were out in the 5 star Radisson Hotel Kathmadu . My Nepali friend took me to the airprt for the cancelled flight, so on hereing about where we were to stay overnight took me to the hotel.he took me to reception to promptly to be escorted away as locals not allowed in. Moto my amazement at mealtime I found out this hotel housed all aide workers for Oxfam, Water Aid, Save the Children and UNICEF. Along with their brand new 4x4s. A coupĺe of years previous over heard an aside worker in Pokhara moaning because she had had to fly economy to Nepal because first class was overbooked. So since the hotel incidence I have tried to warn people about corporate charities to no avail. Perhaps now they will see the corruption behind the big charitable brands. On a lighter note I wonder if people are now getting wise to the massive charity events as they have brought a couple of new ones out this year. Veganuary and Dechoxs! People will still fall into the trap though as it strokes their egos by giving money to the theiving charitable giants.
